What Happens After Your Project Is Complete?

At 3rd Generation Home Improvements, finishing your roof, siding, gutters, windows, or doors is not the end of our work together.

Finished projects are where our commitment to your satisfaction really shows.

We’re a locally owned and operated contractor with roots right here in Northeast Ohio, and we stand behind every project long after our crews pack up and go home.

Step 1: Your Project Gets a Full Documentation Package

When your project wraps up, you receive a complete set of before, during, and after photos delivered straight to your email. This gives you a clear record of the work we did, the materials we used, and your home’s condition at every stage. If you ever sell your home, file an insurance claim, or simply want to remember what your home looked like before the transformation, you can keep that documentation.

Step 2: A Dedicated 3rd Generation Home Improvements Employee Reviews the Work

Every project we complete is reviewed by a 3rd Generation Improvements employee, not just the installation crew. This second set of eyes helps us hold our standards for getting jobs done right.

Step 3: We Confirm Your Warranties Are in Place

Complete replacement projects are backed by a labor warranty on our workmanship, the manufacturer’s warranty on your products, and a one-time transferable warranty if you ever sell your home. We make sure you understand what each warranty covers and that we properly register your coverage before we consider the project closed.

Step 4: We Follow Up to Make Sure You’re Satisfied

After we complete your project, we send a satisfaction survey and give you a direct opportunity to tell us how we did. If anything about the communication, the workmanship, or the timeliness of your project fell short of what you expected, we want to hear it, and we will address it.

Quality Control, Documentation, and Support

Documentation You Can Keep

Most homeowners never see proof of what actually happened on their roof or behind their siding. We do things differently. Every 3rd Generation Home Improvements project includes before, during, and after photos delivered to your email so you have a permanent record of the work.

Warranties That Protect Your Investment

A new roof or exterior upgrade is one of the largest investments you’ll make in your home, so we back it accordingly. For complete replacement projects, your coverage includes:

  • Labor warranty. We stand behind our installation. If an issue traces back to our workmanship, we make it right.
  • Manufacturer’s warranty. Your products carry the manufacturer’s coverage against material defects. As a CertainTeed Master Shingle Applicator, we’re qualified to install premium roofing systems and can access warranty programs many local contractors can’t.
  • One-time transferable warranty. Your workmanship coverage can transfer one time to a future owner, which is a significant value add if you sell your home. A transferable warranty tells a prospective buyer the home was cared for by a contractor who stands behind their work.

We don’t hand your home to whichever crew happens to be available. 3rd Generation works with consistent, trusted installation crews who know how we work and are held to our standards on every job. That consistency matters. Familiar crews mean fewer surprises, cleaner installations, and clear accountability from start to finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll receive a complete documentation package of before, during, and after photos by email, and a dedicated 3rd Generation employee will review the work to confirm it meets our standards. We put your warranties in place and follow up with a satisfaction survey to make sure you’re happy with the result. If anything needs attention, we address it.

Complete replacement projects include a labor warranty on our workmanship, the manufacturer’s warranty on your products, and a one-time transferable warranty.

It means your coverage can transfer once to a future owner if you sell your home. This shows a prospective buyer that the work was done by a contractor who stands behind it and adds value to your home at resale.

One of our 3rd Generation employees reviews every project, separate from the installation crew. For roofing and siding, that employee oversees the job from start to finish. For gutters, we run a quality inspection after installation. For windows and doors, a measurement technician and your installer both verify proper fit.

Tell us. We send a satisfaction survey after every project and welcome your honest feedback on the workmanship, the communication, and the timeliness of the job. If something falls short, we want the opportunity to make it right. Our commitment to your satisfaction doesn’t end when the installation does.
